Long Term Benefits Of Buying A Quality Gable Attic Fan

We all know that heat rises and in a house this can cost a lot in terms of the different ways that you find to cool your home when it comes to the hot summer months. Heat can be trapped in the attic of a home and with this heat being pushed back down the stairs into the rest of the home it can cost you a lot of money to keep all the areas in your house cool. Installing a gable attic fan is the first and most efficient way you should look into to keeping your house, and your energy bill, low. Heat will be removed via the vent in your attic.

As with most power efficient products, you will have a variety to choose from when looking for this kind of cooling fan. Because of what the fan is made to do this will inevitably create a lot of noise. While the fan is in fact in the attic the noise will be muffled but this may be a point of contention when in use. In these circumstances a quality and low noise emitting fan will indeed cost you more, but there are other benefits to a higher priced fan.

A gable attic fan that will be more efficient and more cost conserving as well as energy conserving will definitely be more expensive then buying a few portable cover fans, but keep in mind of their other assets. For one, your energy bill will be greatly reduced. An attic area can get upwards of 150 degrees in the middle of the day and not cool off significantly until the middle of the night depending on the weather. An attic fan will cool off the hottest part of the house and keep the rest of the home cool as well, thus conservatively using your main air conditioning unit and its electrical usage.

Another item to look for that may cost a little more in your attic fan but will be worth the investment over the long haul is to buy one with an insulator thermostat. In this case once the attic has reached a certain temperature the fan will turn itself on and then of course off again once the desired temperature is met. This will conserve your energy from checking the temperature and moderating it for you while you are away.

There are a whole variety of choices when it comes to a gable attic fan. There are also lots to consider in regards to prices, manufacturers, and accessories that make it work. Think of the lasting benefits when making your informed decision in regards to the best fan for your needs.

These fans are great for removing stale hot air from the attic so it isn't pulled down into the rest of the house. Not only do they cool the house, they lower your utility bills. What could be better?

These are one of the best home improvements you can make and they don't cost much at all. I'm pretty sure mine has already paid for its self in electricity bill savings.

When I installed the attic fan in my own home, I was surprised by the sudden drop in my electric bill. I'd noticed we didn't have to keep the air conditioner on as high but I hadn't realized what a difference it would make.

This is such a useful product. I have one in my house and it helps the efficiency of the air conditioning system by pulling out hot air while the AC pumps cold air in.

I never realized that heat could be trapped in a home by the roof but now that I've read your article, it makes a lot of sense. The exhaust fan in the kitchen does basically the same thing but on a smaller scale.

These kind of fans really do save on the old energy bill - particularly if you have a house wit ha few floors, where the heat just wont seem to leave the roof.. A great investment all year round in my book..
